Earthquake on the Turkish-Syrian border:O2 Telefónica makes calls and SMS to Turkey and Syria free of charge
The images and news from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria make us deeply saddened. Our solidarity is with the affected people on site and their families. Therefore, from February 9 to February 17, we put all mobile and landline calls as well as SMS for our own brands O2, O2 Business, Blau, AY YILDIZ and Ortel Mobile and our partner brands from Germany to Turkey and Syria free of charge. The partner brands include Aldi Talk, Einfach Prepaid, FONIC, FONIC mobile, MSD Prepaid, NettoKOM, Netzclub, Nova mobil, Tchibo MOBIL, Turkey SIM, WhatsApp SIM. In addition, we offer free roaming in Turkey during the mentioned period. Pre-paid customers will receive a subsequent credit for roaming.
This is to help people stay connected with their families, friends and loved ones. It also supports first responders on site. The sympathy and willingness to help in all our teams is enormous. Further aid options are currently being examined.
