21 November 2016 CEO Thorsten Dirks is to leave the management board of Telefónica Deutschland in 2017 Thorsten Dirks became chairman of the management board / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG in October 2014 after the merger of Telefónica Deutschland and E-Plus Group. Following his material contribution to the successful integration and transformation of the company, with a strong position and strategy in place, Thorsten Dirks will turn to new challenges in 2017. In today's meeting, the Supervisory Board of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG approved an early termination of Thorsten Dirks' management board contract as per his request. As mutually agreed, this termination will become effective at the end of the first quarter 2017. Meanwhile, Thorsten Dirks will continue in his function as chairman of the management board / CEO together with the other members of the management board.
