With effect from 18 March 2020, all directly operated O2 shops throughout Germany will be closed until further notice.
In accordance with the official requirements of the federal states and for reasons of preventive health protection, Telefónica Germany is keeping all directly operated O2 Shops throughout Germany closed until further notice with effect from 18 March 2020. This also includes O2 Shops in federal states for which no official order has been issued to date. This does not apply exclusively to shops managed by franchisees, such as O2 partner shops or shops of quality partners. Depending on the requirements of the respective state governments, these may still be open. The company is aware that its telecommunications offers provide a service for all customers and citizens of this country that is of particular relevance in the current situation. Accordingly, Telefónica Deutschland will continue to endeavour to serve its customers as comprehensively as possible. However, future developments depend to a large extent on further decisions by the federal government and local authorities. All customers will continue to have the option of using the self-services offered on the Internet at o2online.de and in the "My O2" app, as in the past. In addition, customers can find all ways to contact us at www.o2online.de/kontakt. We will provide transparent and timely information about further developments via our various communication channels, including Twitter and telefonica.de/corona. In principle, Telefónica Deutschland supports all recommended measures and behaviour to prevent the spread of the corona virus in Germany and beyond.
